Introducing Augere Ascent: Digital Marketing Built for Growth

Every business starts somewhere, and so do we. Welcome to the first post on the Augere Ascent blog. My name is Jonathan Santana, and I'm the founder of this agency. I wanted this first piece to do two things: tell you who we are, and tell you why we exist.

Why Augere Ascent

The name comes from the Latin word "augere," meaning to grow or increase. That's the whole idea behind this agency. We're not here to just run ads or post on Instagram for the sake of staying active online. We're here to help businesses actually grow, using digital strategy that's built around real goals, not vanity metrics.

Augere Ascent is a full-service digital marketing agency covering paid ads, social media management, SEO, and the bigger-picture strategy that ties it all together. We work with small businesses and individual brands who want a partner that treats their growth like it's our own.

My Background

I studied Marketing Management at Cal Poly Pomona, where I got a solid foundation in how businesses think about growth, branding, and consumer behavior. Since then, I've worked as a Digital Marketing Account Coordinator, managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns, running SEO efforts, and building out client reporting across a range of industries, including dental and medical/cosmetic practices. That day-to-day experience, testing ad creative, optimizing campaigns, tracking what actually moves the needle for clients, is the foundation Augere Ascent is built on.

One project that means a lot to me is the work I did on James Becerra's mayoral campaign here in Whittier. I helped manage the social media side of the campaign, translating a local candidate's message into content that reached and resonated with the community. It was a different kind of challenge than working with businesses, but the core skill was the same: understanding an audience and communicating with them in a way that builds trust and drives action. That experience showed me firsthand how powerful the right digital strategy can be, even at the local level, and it's part of what pushed me to start this agency.

Rooted in Whittier, Built for SoCal, Reaching Further

Augere Ascent is based right here in Whittier, California, and that matters to us. This is home, and we're proud to serve businesses across Los Angeles and Southern California who are looking to grow. There's something valuable about working with an agency that actually knows the local market, the local audience, and the local competition.

At the same time, we're not thinking small. Digital marketing doesn't have borders, and neither do we. Our goal is to build strategies for our SoCal clients that are strong enough to compete anywhere, and to eventually bring that same approach to businesses beyond Southern California, wherever growth is the goal.
